The morning cup of coffee will cheer us up and charge us with energy for the whole day. However, according to experts, this habit is much more important for health.
The American Heart Association conducted a study, the results of which were published in the journal Circulation. The experts used data from three large-scale scientific developments involving 208 thousand people, which were observed for 30 years. They regularly filled out questionnaires in which they noted their diet and the amount of coffee consumed.
Thus, scientists have found a direct link between coffee, including decaffeinated, and mortality. The study participants who drank three to five cups of coffee a day had a 15% lower risk of premature death from any cause. Experts have also proven that the invigorating drink significantly reduces the risk of fatal outcome in cardiovascular and neurological diseases.
